10 MCU Characters That HAVE To Show Up On Disney+

3. Steve Rogers - The Falcon And The Winter Soldier

Just because Steve Rogers is past his prime and will no longer carry the mantle of Captain America in the MCU, that doesn't mean that his time in the franchise should be over. Old Man Rogers hung around in the comics after reaching old age, so why not do the same in the MCU?

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Steve made the decision to pass the famous Captain America shield down to Sam Wilson because he trusted him and felt that he would be up to the task and title. It was a tough decision to make, but it was the right one.

However, cut to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Sam is still Falcon, operating without the shield he was trusted with. Instead, the vibranium weapon is in the hands of John Walker, aka US Agent. This is obviously not what Steve had in mind for passing on his legacy, and hopefully he will have something to say about it.

Alternatively, Sam is sure to seek a spot of advice from his best friend, and even if it is just a touch of fan service, an appearance from Steve would be most welcome.
