6. Exiling The Kraken
The Ironborn and the Greyjoys in particular have a history of terrorizing the coastline of Westeros but so far weve seen nothing of this. Less yo-ho, stabby stabby, more sitting down in damp castles. Admittedly we caught them at a bad time.
The Ironborn have also been most conspicuous by their absence out of all the houses so far. This season is however putting all the pieces in place for a Kingsmoot so we could see them becoming a dangerous factor in the many battles to come.
Yara was the only well rounded character we were introduced to from the Iron Islands and while this is definitely confirmed to change in season 6 weve seen this once formidable force do nothing but fail so far. It cant remain this way and if these guys are going to become a genuine threat among dragons and White Walkers theyll need to campaign successfully a little first.
The last thing this show needs is to invest time in a dead end storyline and while the Greyjoys were largely used to make the Boltons look strong they need to be a much more influential factor now. The entry of Euron is the perfect opportunity. Perhaps he could lead the Ironborn in a quest to get this next entry
