7. Cersei's Pregnancy Tragedy

Now, this, unfortunately isn't one that's been revealed in full yet, but let's hope that it sees the light of day when a collector's edition of the complete show hits the shelves at some point.

When it was revealed in season 7 that Cersei was pregnant by her brother Jaime - who else? - it was obviously a big deal for the plot, or so we thought, anyway. In the end, it ended up mattering very little, but that wouldn't have been the case if one deleted scene had been left in.

Given the speculation around the legitimacy of her claims of pregnancy in season 8 and how much it added to Cersei's evil, it's strange to think we would have had an answer in the penultimate season. According to Lena Headey, a scene was filmed for season 7 that revealed the she had miscarried:

... A scene that never made it into Season 7, which was when I lose the baby. And it was a really traumatic, great moment for Cersei and it never made it in, and I loved doing that because I thought it would have served her differently.

That tragedy might have added to Cersei's character even more, particularly in explaining why she doesn't seem to care when Tyrion implores her to think of her unborn child rather than war-mongering. But ultimately, it never made it.
