10 More TV Storylines Actors REFUSED To Do

4. Reese & Carter's Romance - Person Of Interest

Since sci-fi crime drama series Person of Interest ended in 2016, various cast and crew members have spoken out about lead actor Jim Caviezel's chaotic presence on set, with Caviezel using his power as the show's star to impart his fringe political beliefs on the very series itself.

Caviezel's conservative tendencies extended to him refusing plans for his character, John Reese, to embark on a romance with Detective Joss Carter (Taraji P. Henson).

Though the pair do kiss once, Caviezel ultimately put the kibosh on any further plans due to his own belief that interracial relationships were wrong. This apparently offended Henson enough - as it should have - that she decided to quit the show to pursue other opportunities.

As such, Carter was abruptly killed off mid-way through the series' third season, and let's be honest, Henson's career hardly suffered from her departure.

Caviezel, though, continues to be radioactive in Hollywood circles due to his vocal right-wing fundamentalist beliefs, which have evidently only intensified in the years since the show ended.
