10 Most Anticipated Horror TV Shows Of 2026

Long gone are the days of American Horror Story's prime. The likes of Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Jessica Lange are no longer recurring stars, which is a huge loss compared to the more recent cast lists, while the last few seasons have left a lot to be desired against the likes of Asylum and Coven.

However, after underwhelming entries into Ryan Murphy's iconic series that starred Kim Kardashian, and that in Double Feature's case didn't even have enough story to fill out 10 episodes, there is reason to believe that season 13 may see a glorious return to form.

The cast announcement for the as-yet-untitled thirteenth season is essentially an all-star cast of the American Horror Story greats. Peters, Paulson, and Lange will all be returning, the latter for the first time since a two-episode cameo in season eight (itself coming after leaving the show following season four), along side Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman.

The only newcomer to the series, at least that has been announced so far, is also a big deal. After appearing in Murphy's Scream Queens along with Roberts and Lourd, and coming off the back of an Oscar-nominated performance as Glinda in the Wicked series, Ariana Grande is also joining the bill. No other details have currently been released, but no others need to be for American Horror Story season 13's anticipation to be through the roof.
