The Clone Wars animated series was one of the best additions to the Star Wars universe since the original trilogy. It had the usual range of Star Wars goodness like awesome effects, cool fight sequences and most importantly, characters you want to invest in.

And standing out in that category is Ahsoka Tano. Introduced as Anakin Skywalker’s own Padawan, Ahsoka is arguably the most famous female Jedi of all time. She's stubborn, courageous and - much like her master - doesn’t always enjoy playing the strict Jedi playbook; often landing in trouble because of it.

She becomes the ultimate device for exploring the moral grey areas of war and power. This often leads to her challenging the long-standing Jedi principles and whether they are adequate for protecting the galaxy from evil, making her one of the most nuanced personas in all of animation.

This show overall was a breath of fresh air, and she was one of the main reasons for it.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
