10 Most Bizarre Commercials Ever

9. Crusha - Cat Band

If the song gets stuck in your head after this, I can only apologise. I want some Crusha, a glass of Crusha, it’s tough enough to make milkshake...

That little pun would have been a decent gimmick in and of itself, seeing as Crusha is a milk additive used to make milkshakes. The adverts went above and beyond that though, creating something completely bizarre.

The commercial looks like those weird YouTube videos made using Photoshop and MS Paint, but that only adds to the charm. Joel Veitch of RatherGood was commissioned to animate the ad in the style of his website's animations. It’s deliberately bizarre, but bizarre nonetheless.

It features a gravelly voiced cat in a flat cap singing about his love for Crusha, but it’s literally a couple of still pictures of this cat wiggling back and forth. At various points, other cats come to the front playing xylophones and tubas with the same unsettling wiggliness. In the background, googly eyed cows with upturned smiles get splattered by falling bottles of Crusha.

The advert was eventually banned when someone recreated it with real cats. At least they didn’t drop 10 foot Crusha bottles onto surprised cows.
