10 Most Gratifying Star Trek Deaths

We rarely see a Changeling on the receiving end of justice, but when we do, it’s quite a sight.

Starfleet is convinced that Chancellor Gowron is a Changeling trying to destabilize the Klingon Empire. Sisko, Odo, Worf, and Chief O’Brien (because why not) are ordered to infiltrate a ceremonial gathering and expose the plot.

But, oops, Odo realizes almost too late that Gowron is just plain, normal, jackass Gowron and that instead General Martok is the imposter. The Changeling has been manipulating Starfleet to murder Gowron, thereby provoking a crippling war between the two Alpha Quadrant powers.

Odo calls out the imposter, then the Changeling shapeshifts and tries to strangle him in the midst of many, many hungover Klingons. They pull their disruptors and open fire on the imposter. His body loses its shape and starts glowing bright green. It eventually pops like a festive firecracker, leaving the warriors picking morphogenic goo out of their beards.
