10 Most Obvious Doctor Who Plot Twists Ever
6. Clara Oswald Is Brought Back To Life
Clara Oswald died in Face the Raven, but in our hearts we kind of knew she'd be back in the finale. We got a little surprise when she popped up in the Doctor's mind palace in Heaven Sent, but her eventual return in Hell Bent was something everyone saw coming from about 4 billion years away.
This nagging doubt about Clara's fate was confirmed by Doctor Who Magazine 493, which featured Jenna Coleman and the headline "Last Orders For Clara" on the cover. All well and good, except for the fact that Jenna Coleman was wearing a waitress costume, something we hadn't seen her wear at any point so far.
Nobody believed for a second that the waitress costume was tied into the cover headline – it could only mean that Clara will be back. And she was! Perhaps Steven Moffat hoped we'd have thought the waitress in the diner was actually one of the Clara splinters, but it had been so long since that was brought up that nobody would've made the connection.
And so we patiently waited for two weeks to find out how Clara would inevitably survive her ordeal on Trap Street.
