Magrethe later married Ubbe, a move that changed her personality from a timid former slave to an entitled brat. Before long, she became a mad lunatic obsessed with becoming Queen of Kattegat. Her final moments saw her afraid and alone, as three of Ivar's men assassinated her in the night.

Ultimately, Margrethe never posed any legitimate threat and never got the chance to have a proper personality outside of being spoiled by the Ragnarsons.
