10 Most Rewatchable TV Shows Of All Time

5. The Office

Both English language versions are hugely rewatchable, but we’re plumping for the UK original on the basis it never puts a foot wrong throughout its briefer tenure. Gervais and Merchant’s Office comprises fourteen of the most perfect, densely packed episodes of TV you could ever hope to enjoy.

Unlike its US counterpart, the inaugural Office comes out swinging, with big laughs and iconic moments from episode one. Whatever you think of Gervais’ latter years, he was really onto something with David Brent, and for those put off by his more recent works and persona, it’s rewarding to dip back into his breakthrough hit.

The Office gains classic status on laughs alone, but the story is more than compelling enough to add further reward to a rewind. The rise and fall of Brent, Tim and Dawn, the Swindon lot - for a show meant to emulate a drab doc about a paper company, the plotting is superb, graceful, and captivating throughout.

The entirety of the show may add up to under ten hours of content, but it’s impossible to get bored rewatching The Office, perhaps the most quotable and relatable comedy ever made.
