2. Artis And Jess
Artis wrote to Catfish as he was having feelings for Jess. However, both were in relationships and living with their significant others. They had kept the relationship secret the entire time. Uncomfortable with helping someone cheat, Nev and Max told Artis to come clean to his girlfriend, which he did and they broke up.
He told the hosts he was in love with Jess and admitted they had had some flirtatious and risqué conversations. Nev and Max asked to meet her and the catfish in return asked them to prove that the hosts were who they said they were.
She agreed to meet and the hopeful and hosts were waiting in a park for Jess to arrive when a car pulled up. A man got out and walked over to them, beginning to slow clap. In a now infamous interaction this man dismissed Nev, while Nev tried to stop him attacking Artis. Continuing to try and rile up Artis, the catfish shouted "you can still be my chocolate kiss" and admitted to being Jess.
He revealed his name to be Justin and they agreed to meet the next day. He vaguely explained his reasoning and said he didn’t care about Artis at all. He refused to explain himself any further and the hosts left without a full explanation or even an apology. However, the "you got me there" meme was born of this episode, so not all bad news.
