10 Most Underrated South Park Characters

6. Mr Hat

Ditching Mr Hat was one of the best things Mr Garrison ever did, as after he lost the obnoxious finger puppet his character could delve into far more dark territory, without the childish and goofy presence of the silly puppet. However, just because the split from his owner was a good thing, doesn't mean that he isn't an underrated role.

The character of Mr Hat may not be anything but an inanimate object, but the little guy has so much personality. The last time we saw him was in episode six of season 14 entitled "201", but from then on it has been radio silence from the stripy hatted figure.

Mr Hat had a lot of fun potential as a character. However, his pairing with Mr Garrison just didn't work out in the end. Had he been placed with a slightly less interesting role then he could have made a perfect consistent addition to the cast. But with all that said and done, he is ultimately irrelevant, and the show treated him as such.

It is a shame too, as the offensive and often aggressive personality of the finger puppet was a unique part of the show, and he deserves to be remembered more fondly.
