10 Most Underrated South Park Characters
7. Scott Malkinson
This poor little guy suffers so much at the hands of the leading boys - especially Cartman - but as a significant supporting character, he deserves a lot more attention.
Scott Malkinson's diabetes are a big point of contention for Eric, as he mocks him for it regularly. At first, this makes him seem like an insignificant role, purely put in the show for the sake of being bullied. But other characters have actually found themselves in a similar position and risen to prominence, with one prolific example being Butters.
So what does Malkinson bring to the table? For starters, his voice is incredibly amusing, as the performance given by Matt Stone feels entirely appropriate for the character, particularly the use of a lisp which helps give him this innocent and vulnerable appearance. Additionally, his position as a character with a genuine medical condition could actually be used more frequently, but as a source of narrative and not comedy.
South Park is a show that loves to take its minor characters and put them in the spotlight, and little Scott Malkinson deserves that light to shine on him.
