10 Most Underrated Star Trek Episodes

3. Carbon Creek - Star Trek Enterprise

Star Trek Carbon Creek
CBS

Despite falling in the early part of Enterprise's second season, when the show was still a little shaky, this stand alone episode is a wonderful story of T'Pol's family, while allowing Jolene Blalock a greater chance to shine in this fish out of water story.

With references to the Mother of Star Trek, Lucille Ball, and a whole host of characters that we never meet again, Carbon Creek is easily one of early Enterprise's best episodes. Vulcans on Earth, while trying to blend in, is a story that may not sound like it has much comedic potential, but returning guest star J. Paul Boehmer sells it as the Vulcan who adapts almost too well to contemporary America.

While Archer and Trip doubt the truth of the story, T'Pol's narration makes this episode excellent, with great performances all around. One of Enterprise's first great shows.
