10 Most Underrated TV Shows Of 2018 (So Far)
1. Pose
Pose, which is without a doubt the most criminally underrated show on this list, began airing back in June. The Ryan Murphy-produced drama centres around the transgender community in New York during the 1980s, paying specific focus to the ball culture world.
While transgender-related storylines have been a major part of television for many years now, Pose is the first series to feature trans actors in the leading roles, which gives the FX show a level of authenticity that these predecessors were significantly lacking. The cast are excellent, and MJ Rodriuez - who plays the main character, Blanca - delivers a wonderful performance.
In spite of its groundbreaking storylines, Pose's arrival was a little under the radar, and even now, it's not talked about nearly enough. The viewing figures are unusually low for a Murphy show also, which is a real shame because in addition to being groundbreaking, it's a damn good show.
