10 Most Underrated TV Shows Of 2018 (So Far)
2. Hidden
We're all familiar with at least one gripping BBC drama, and Hidden is another one to add to your list. The thrilling eight-part crime drama follows DI Cadi John who, upon returning home to Wales to look after her dying father, is called to investigate when the body of a young woman (who had been missing for six years) turns up in a river.
Interestingly, Hidden is a joint production between S4C and BBC, and previously aired in Wales under the title of Craith — with the dialogue spoken entirely in Welsh. The English version was filmed for distribution in other countries.
The series has been a moderate success, but due to its Welsh origin, it hasn't received as much promotion as the likes of Line of Duty or Happy Valley, so its still exists somewhat under the radar. But the fact of the matter is that Hidden could easily compete with these big-name dramas, as a gripping storyline and a wonderful performance from actress Sian Reese-Williams make it a must watch.
