A quirky and original coming-of-age comedy-drama about a young woman who discovers she has telekinetic powers, I Am Not Okay with This was at once a clever supernatural series and a touching portrait of friendship and teenage hardships.
Unfortunately, the series ran for only seven of its planned eight-episode first season, with production shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic back in August of 2020.
Receiving strong reviews all aimed at its progressive themes and the performances of former It co-stars Sophia Ellis and Wyatt Oleff, the show's cancellation was met with great upset from fans.
Worse still, although there had been no official renewal for another season, it was strongly believed the series would get another instalment, so much so that writing had practically finished on the next chapter. Hopefully Netflix will find room for it in the future.
