Netflix is no stranger to highly entertaining (but intoxicatingly trashy) reality TV. Throughout 2020, fans were entertained (often appalled) by the antics captured by hits such as Love Is Blind, Selling Sunset, and Married At First Sight.
Hitting screens later this year, Marriage or Mortgage promises to be equally addictive viewing, and we suspect that this brand new show will ignite debates across social media.
Marriage or Mortgage pits a wedding planner against a real estate agent. Their goal? To convince a young couple to invest in either their dream wedding or their brand new home.
The series is set to air from mid-March and will see engaged couples desperately try to choose between a fairy-tale wedding or their dream house. Constrained by their budgets, the spouses-to-be can only pick one.
On hand to help are estate agent Nichole Holmes and event planner Sarah Miller. Holmes will show the couples an array of affordable houses; Miller will propose some budget-friendly nuptials. The savvy couples will then have to choose between the titular marriage or mortgage.
Netflix does have a knack for producing endlessly entertaining and totally binge-worthy reality TV, and we reckon that Marriage or Mortgage will follow in the footsteps of shows such as Love Is Blind.
