10 New Shows That Already Deserve To Get Cancelled
4. Dynasty
Dynasty, for those of you don't know, was a super popular show from the early 1980s, with a bunch of rich white people who would get into catfights and push each other into fountains and so on.
The idea to reboot it is clearly grounded in the nostalgia craze, where every show or film that was even remotely popular gets a new version to capitalize on all the people who liked it. But that's where this new television show sort of falls apart.
If this is supposed to be attracting the audience that originally watched Dynasty and have presumably been longing for it to come, there's no reason why it should be on the CW. No one who watches the CW is old enough to even remember a time when this show was on the air, so for them it's just another dated melodrama that the network has seemingly been moving away from.
Remember when TNT decided to reboot Dallas? Sure, it lasted for a few seasons, but it also didn't exactly set the world on fire, and Dynasty can't touch the original Dallas in terms of pop culture currency.
