10 Notable Names With At Least One Recurring TV Voice Role

7. Tim Curry

What can be said about Tim Curry that hasn't been said already?

Any project where Curry spends a substantial amount of time on screen seems to be enhanced by his presence. Whether he's taking androgyny to new levels as Dr. Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, creating both meme and nightmare fuel as the original Pennywise in Stephen King's It, or simply being foiled as the concierge in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, Curry always brings 1000% to whatever he's doing at the time - and that includes voice roles!

Since 1990, Curry has put his voice to the roles of Captain Hook in Peter Pan and the Pirates, Hexxus from Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest, Dr. Anton Sevarius in Gargoyles, and best-selling author (and secret warlock) Ben Ravencroft in Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost, just to name a few. He even brought some credibility to the often-criticized Mighty Ducks: Animated Series as Lord Dragaunus, which is an accomplishment in itself.

For most animation enthusiasts however, Tim Curry's most enduring, 'smashing' voice role was that of the title patriarch Nigel Thornberry of Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberrys from 1998-2004.

Adventurous and inquisitive, if perhaps a tad dim-witted and occasionally unaware of the severity of most given situations, Nigel always came with enough enthusiasm to compensate for the rest of his traveling caravan of a family. In short, he was someone we should all strive a little harder to be.
