10 Parks & Recreation Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off
4. Donna Meagle
After playing a largely supporting role over the first two seasons of Parks and Recreation, the character of Donna came out of her shell from the third series onwards and the show was all the better for it.
Buoyed by comedian Retta’s cool, understated performance, Donna is the secret weapon of Parks and Recreation, a character constantly delivering killer lines with an effortless cool that quickly made her a fan favourite.
She’s a woman of genuine mystery too, with one of the running gags throughout the series being the wild variety of previous jobs, skills and experiences she suddenly reveals herself to possess.
Donna speaks fluent French, had two annulments, finished ninth in Italy’s Got Talent and once severed in a NASCAR pit crew. She’s someone fans would love to know more about.
Now living in Seattle where she runs an educational non-profit with her husband Joe, who is played by the ever-watchable Michael Keegan Key, a spin-off covering their exploits would be intriguing to say the least.
