As much as some fans like to think that the DC world simply stopped after the brilliance of the DCAU, that's not true. The creative minds at DC and Warner Bros. have continued to create new characters and new worlds since 2006, some notable, some minor.

The beauty of the DCAU, however, especially in JLU, was that even minor characters got moments to shine; characters who had long been buried in the archives of DC getting introduced to a completely new generation.

Since 2006, DC has introduced such heavy hitters as the new Batwoman, Miss Martian, the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle, Damian Wayne's Robin, the extended members of Batman Inc., , Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, and the extensive collection of new 'colour' based characters of the various Lantern Corps.

Heck, Batman: The Adventures Continue is doing just that right now, providing DCAU origins for Deathstroke, Jason Todd, Azrael and more.

Not to mention, with the extensive changes the entire DC universe has gone through since the end of the DCAU (New 52 and Rebirth), characters have changed origins or backstories, adding tons of new details and rivalries that could be explored in either standalone series (like Batman TAS) or in team form (like JL and JLU.)

And speaking of new material...
