10 Reasons You Should Be Watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine

6. Terry Crews' Arms... And Performance, Of Course

Terry Crews may be the ultimate 2015 renaissance man. He started his career as an NFL player, during which time he apparently painted portraits of his teammates because... sure, very typical NFL behaviour right there. After retiring from football, he began to pursue an entertainment career, starring in ad campaigns, hosting a game show and taking cameo roles in comedy. In 2014, he wrote a book called Manhood: How To Be A Better Man- Or Just Live With One, detailing, among other things, his feelings on women's rights (spoilers: he's pro). His character in the show, also called Terry, shares a lot in common with the actor. He's a physically imposing man in an alpha-type job who is actually soft-hearted and sensitive. It's a lovely change of pace from the majority of male archetypes we see on TV. Oh and his arms are huge. They're huge.
