10 Reasons You Should Watch Castlevania Season 4
5. The Action
The action in Castlevania was one of its biggest pulls early on, and it remains, as always, on point, with kinetic energy and fight scenes that are entirely impossible to achieve in live action.
The animation team at Powerhouse are fans of the original games in ways that writer Warren Ellis wasn't, according to him, and as such planned each action scene around both Castlevania lore and their own animation inspirations.
Not only are the many fight scenes a feast for the eyes - they're also unique to each character, showing a lot of personality and prowess in each unique fighter.
One of the best examples of this is whenever the trio of Trevor, Sypha and Alucard are fighting together. Alucard's fighting style shows off both his prowess with the sword (and his brand new shield) as well as his vampiric nature, with his speed and transformations. Sypha's magic makes for impossibly exciting fighting styles involving fire, ice, and even electricity.
Trevor's fighting style might just be the most unique, with his whip and his mastery of its movement making his fights like a ballet, an utterly enthralling dance that just screams Castlevania in the best way.
