10 Reasons You’re Wrong About Fear The Walking Dead

8. Anything But A Slow-Moving Season

The major criticism of Fear has been the fact that it's slow-moving. That's simply not the case, and if anything I actually think the story developed too quickly if anything. No there weren't all-out action scenes taking up 40 minutes-a-piece with blood, guts, drama and chaos throughout, and that's a great thing. Step back to view the season as a whole, look at where it began, look at where it ended, and look how much has changed. It all started with a bustling high school, Maddie was a school-teacher, doom-bringer Tobias was the only person in the know (what actually happened to him...?), and the whole world was functioning pretty well, bar a mysterious flu going. Now, after city-wide riots, multiple police shootings, and full-scale army intervention, we've left Season 1 with the world seemingly smashed to pieces. All of that in just six episodes. Slow-moving? Whatever you say.
