5. Cad Bane's Appearance (And "Death") - The Book Of Boba Fett

Star Wars fans were most shocked and excited when fan favourite Star Wars bounty hunter Cad Bane made his live-action debut in the penultimate episode of The Book of Boba Fett.

Cad Bane first appeared in the season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars back in 2009 and also showed up in last year's Star Wars: The Bad Batch, earning a reputation among fans as one of the most fierce and badass bounty hunters in the franchise.

And so millions were thrilled to finally see Cad Bane in live-action form, and still voiced by the distinctively-toned Corey Burton no less, yet left utterly disappointed when Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) killed him in the very next episode.

Despite his imposing presence and the obvious potential to keep him around as a longer-term villain, Bane dies when Fett stabs him with a Tusken gaffi stick.

Many felt that this was an underwhelming end for such a badass character - assuming he is dead, of course - and though Cad Bane can continue to participate in prequel stories leading up to his demise, he surely deserved a more ceremonious and meaningful end. Boo.
