4. Hunters (Season 2)

Hands up if you knew that season two of Hunters was released on Amazon Prime in the middle of January. Anyone?

The conspiracy thriller series premiered in February 2020 to mixed reviews but quickly became one of the streaming service's most-watched original shows, ensuring that a second season was given the greenlight.

But even ignoring the almost three-year gap between seasons, season two was dumped with a basically non-existent regard by Amazon, for reasons that remain bafflingly unclear.

Given that the first season became a word-of-mouth hit at the onset of the pandemic, it made no sense at all for them to drop the latest volume with all the enthusiasm of a bowel movement.

Even though season two was designed as the series' final season from the outset, failing to sell it as a long-awaited grand finale was a huge mistake.

No matter that season two received better reviews than its predecessor, most people had no idea it was actually coming out.
