10 Sci-Fi TV Show Mysteries That Can Never Be Solved

2. The Humanoid Figure (Star Trek: Enterprise)

The first episode of Star Trek Enterprise introduced its principal overriding plot, the Temporal Cold War, which was purposefully vague and nebulous. The audience didn't get to know how many factions were involved, what everyone's goals were or how it was going to play out. To be honest, when the plotline was ended at the beginning of the fourth season, we still didn't get many answers to these questions.

There was one question, however, one mystery, that does need an answer. Who was the shadowy humanoid figure in the Suliban aggregate ship that seemed to be influencing their actions? Since the prevailing fan theory was that it was going to be Jonathan Archer in the distant future somehow, there should have been some closure on this one before sweeping the Temporal Cold War under the rug.

Of course, unlike almost everything else on this list, there's a slim chance that some kind of answer may be presented to us at some point in the future. Star Trek is on our screens once again, with a myriad of different series available to its avid fans. So here's hoping for this one to finally be put to bed, even if it's just a one-line joke in Lower Decks.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
