10 Superhero TV Shows That Completely Missed The Mark
1. The Tomorrow People (2013-2014)
We’ve all seen those god-awful shirts with the evolution of man on them. Supposedly humorous, the next step is often a robot, an Ewok or maybe even Elvis. These shirts never depict the next stage of evolution as a failed CW science fiction TV series, that was cancelled after one season. Nobody wants to see evolution end that way.
Fans and critics never took to the story of the homo superior, a group of humans who as the result of evolutionary development gain supernatural powers. Hunted by another group with psionic abilities known as the Ultra, The Tomorrow People was criticised for its ramshackle, cobbling together of various sci-fi elements that never felt cohesive or fresh.
Whilst, the British original is far from a well-known classic, this represented another failed attempt at adapting a British original in America.
