9. A Look At The World Before The Disease

Aside from occasional flashbacks and character conversations in The Walking Dead, we haven't fully delved into the world before the outbreak. With the show so far down the road, it's easy to forget that these people once had jobs, families, homes, hobbies and everything else that goes along with life. FTWD has the perfect opportunity to build characters up before the outbreak even occurs, and they could bring The Walking Dead world back to a sense of reality, making both shows impactful. In The Walking Dead we've only ever seen Atlanta as a wasteland riddled with the undead. The creators now have a chance to outline the entire disintegration of society in L.A. from the outset. Such a colourful, vibrant city needs to be explored before it ultimately turns to deathly rubble.
