10 Things Futurama Wants You To Forget
7. Fry, Bender, And Leela Should Be Billionaires
When the Planet Express delivery crew had an emergency stop on a far away planet to find food, they struck gold when they found what they thought to be a hole full of fried prawns. Before they discovered they were eating Omicronian babies, the new discovery was a hit.
One of the universe's biggest fast food restaurants, Fishy Joe's, took distribution off Fry and Bender's hands, in exchange for paying them a dollar a dozen. The food sensation went from taking New New York by storm, to taking the world by storm, with a grand total of 198 billion alien infants devoured.
Now for the maths behind it all. 198 billion popplers equals 16.5 billion bags of a dozen. At one dollar per bag, assuming Fry, Bender, and Leela were splitting the money three ways, that's a hefty sum of 5.5 billion dollars each. This is even more than when Fry became rich in 'A Fishful of Dollars' and splashed the cash on ancient anchovies and Ted Danson's skeleton.
Futurama has been traditionally very good at keeping a story and plot straight, even across multiple episodes and seasons. This money however, seems to have just simply disappeared.
