10 Things The Arrowverse Wishes It Could've Done Differently

2. Team Flash's Lack Of Development (The Flash)

Team Flash is comprised of some great characters. The problem is - Barry Allen aside - they rarely go anywhere outside of work. Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow are the victims in this instance. They're not under-developed characters by any means but they're not developed to their full potential either. Both characters are loved by fans, so why can we count on one hand the number of times we've seen them outside of work?

Cisco has had a couple of fleeting relationships and Caitlin's family occasionally make the odd rare appearance but that is about the extent of it. Where do they live? Do they have friends outside of Team Flash? What do they do in their spare time?

OK, this wouldn't make for the most thrilling TV of all time but it wouldn't be difficult to throw in the odd scene or at least line that hints towards something. In stark contrast to Arrow, The Flash isolates some its core characters a little too much - refusing to give them a life. Iris and Joe don't suffer to the same extent but only due to their family ties to Barry.

It doesn't make sense. As popular characters, Cisco and Caitlin should be given the treatment they deserve. Now going into its fifth season, The Flash needs some fresh material. It's time to get rid of The Flash's characteristic filler episodes and replace them with some character development.

At least now that Cisco and Caitlin are Vibe and Killer Frost, respectively, the two get out of the office occasionally. The Flash is moving in the right direction but a lot more could be done.
