10 Things To Expect From Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon
2. Seeds Of A Shared Universe
In addition to House of the Dragon, several other Game of Thrones prequels and spinoffs are in various stages of development, such as a Tales of Dunk and Egg adapting George R.R. Martin’s popular “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” novellas and 10,000 Ships detailing the adventures of warrior queen Nymeria for whom Arya Stark named her direwolf. House of the Dragon is the perfect place to provide teasers and hints at other spin-off series.
The proposed spin-off with the most direct connection to House of the Dragon is the Sea Snake-focused 9 Voyages which will recount Corlys Velaryon’s famous nautical adventures. If the notorious seafarer proves to be a break-out character, this show is a sure bet for production. A few well-placed flashbacks in House of the Dragon, will serve as perfect mini-backdoor pilots to interest viewers in the new series.
Another potential series with potential ties is the proposed Flea Bottom spin-off focused on the lives of everyday residents in the poorest slum in King’s Landing. Daemon Targaryen had a reputation for spending time among the denizens of Flea Bottom, including Mysaria, a mysterious figure featured in the teaser trailer. He was known as the “Prince of the City” and “Lord Flea Bottom” and his escapades there could set the stage for a spin-off series.
