10 Things We Learned From Season 1 Of Ash Vs. Evil Dead

5. Freddy's Glove Made A Cameo, But Don't Expect Him To Appear - Or Anyone Else

Did you catch the cameo Freddy Krueger's glove made in the final episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead season one, The Dark One? It was hung on the wall of the cabin, minus the telltale blades - but make no mistake, that was the glove. See, Sam Raimi and Wes Craven used to have a little friendly competition going, including little bits of the other director's franchise in their own movies. Bits of the Evil Dead world have appeared in the Nightmare on Elm St. series, and references to Freddy have turned up in the Evil Dead world before. Not to mention the whole Ash. vs. Freddy vs. Jason push from years back, when a sequel to Freddy vs. Jason involving Bruce Campbell was considered. In fact, in the comic book world, Ash has fought all sorts of horror figures - but don't expect anyone from outside series to actually show up on Ash vs. Evil Dead. This series will be set wholly in the Evil Dead world. It needs to be, and if we've learned anything from season one, it's that the show is more than capable of standing on its own.
