10 Times Larry David Went Too Far On Curb Your Enthusiasm
5. Blow Ups
Larry’s relationship with housemate and running buddy Leon Black can be beneficial, but it’s just as likely to lead to embarrassment and even disaster. In season 10, an ill thought out prank lands Larry in hot water after Leon orders him a blow up doll for a laugh.
Larry is unamused but seemingly not uninterested. He states that he has no intention of utilising the doll, but neither does he throw it away, and once Leon inflates it (and probably takes it for a test ride), the doll is an addition to the household, sitting on the sofa in Larry’s living room.
Soon LD’s doll is the talk of the town thanks to Larry’s loose lipped mailman, and when Ted Danson gets his hands on the information he goes running straight to Cheryl, eager for revenge after her dalliance with Larry earlier in the season.
Larry’s unwillingness to get rid of the doll unsurprisingly lands him in hot water by the end of the episode. He finally gets round to deflating it, and his attempts to speed up the process using his own body weight look mighty suspect to his maid, and then to Cheryl.
