Season 7 Episode 1: "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be."

Negan and Lucille, the biggest romance in The Walking Dead. After continuously attacking Savior outposts, the group get their comeuppance as they are held captive by Negan. Negan's introduction is both intimidating and absurd as he threatens to bash in the head of one of our survivors with his beloved baseball bat, Lucille.

In a brutal moment of violence and gore, Negan murders both Abraham and Glenn in front of their loved ones. It's an evil display of power on Negan's behalf, and a disgusting watch as Glenn's eye pops out of its socket and his head turns to mush.

Why is this traumatising? Because it's an absolutely disgusting and chilling watch. It's the biggest, most bloodiest death scene in the entire show and one that leaves a lasting impression.

However, the horrifying deaths that occur are not the sole reason for the trauma, but also the way the writers chose to reveal it to the world. The scene should have occurred in the final moments of the season six finale. Negan chooses an unknown victim before the screen quickly cuts to black.

Eager fans were then forced to wait several months to see who fell victim to Lucille. It was an unwelcome decision which resulted in the season six finale receiving poor reviews, and it unfortunately contributes to this whole moment being a bit too over the top.
