10 Times TV Shows Made Up Incredible Movie Ideas
5. Red McGibbon And Bullet: Nazi Hunters - Arrested Development
In Season 2 Episode 10 of Arrested Development, the family welcome Uncle Jack to their home in hopes he can provide them with some financial support.
The eccentric Uncle Jack (Martin Short) lost the use of his legs when he attempted to lift 350 pounds on his 70th birthday. But instead of using a wheelchair to get around, he hired a half deaf bodybuilder named Dragon to carry him everywhere he goes.
Uncle Jack was once part of a famous movie duo titled Red McGibbon and Bullet: Nazi Hunters. Jack, or Bullet, was McGibbon's side kick and would be physically thrown by him at unsuspecting Nazi soldiers whilst yelling his signature catchphrase - "Shoot Me!".
The films were a rousing success but the films were discontinued when the actor playing McGibbon was jailed for showing communist sympathies. Bullet tried to launch (heh) his own solo career with the film Ready, Aim, Marry Me but the film was a massive failure.
The idea, however, of watching a dynamic duo fight off countless Nazis with a secret weapon in the form of a man being launched like a human javelin is too hilarious to miss. I'm hooked.
