10 TV Character Deaths That Pissed Off Fans

6. Omar Little - The Wire

Omar Little (Michael K. Williams) was one of The Wire's most popular characters, a Robin Hood-like stick-up man who made his living ripping off street-level drug dealers, while operating under a strict moral code whereby he refused to harm innocents who weren't part of "The Game."

While it wasn't at all a shock that Omar didn't make it to the end of the series in one piece, the nature of his demise was a huge surprise, and to many quite the anti-climax.

In the show's fifth and final season, Omar is killed in a convenience store by Kenard (Thuliso Dingwall), a child drug dealer who shoots him in the head.

The irony of Omar being gunned down not by one of his notable adversaries but a seemingly harmless small boy was not lost on fans, many of whom found it a disappointing way for the series' most cunning character to go out.

While it cemented the notion that "nobody is safe" in the show's final hours, many evidently would've preferred to see Omar die in the fashion that was soon whispered about around the streets of Baltimore - in an epic gunfight.
