10 TV Characters We'd Love To See Return For One Season

3. Seong Gi-hun - Squid Game

Squid Game
Netflix

This one is fairly recent so those of you that have yet to watch Netflix’s brilliant Korean Drama Squid Game may want to skip over this entry altogether as it will contain spoilers for the show.

Audiences are partly fuelled by the hopes of a second season for the hit TV show but also hoping that the series continues the plight of central character, Seong Gi-hun, who we saw develop from hopeless down-and-out chauffeur to the show’s moral compass.

After emerging victorious in the brutal winner-takes-all contest, Seong Gi-hun seemingly puts it all behind him until he witnesses the same man that recruited him into the contest trying to recruit another contestant. Realising that the contest will continue despite the loss of its creator, Gi-hun turns back from boarding a plane to be with his daughter and instead looks to be set on putting an end to the game that resulted in the deaths of so many people.

This seemingly sets things up perfectly for a second season and the return of Seong Gi-hun, however, but sadly there has been nothing concrete to indicate that there will be any further seasons of Netflix's latest hit show.
