10 TV Characters We'd Love To See Return For One Season
4. Al Capone - Boardwalk Empire
The infamous mob-boss of Prohibition-era Chicago has been portrayed countless times on both television and movies that it can often be met with groans when it’s heard that the character will be portrayed once again. However, Boardwalk Empire took a slightly different approach to the character, as they showed him in his younger years when he was starting to make a name for himself.
Relegated to a supporting character at first, it didn’t take long for the notorious crime boss, portrayed by the criminally underrated Stephen Graham, to steal the show with his displays of brutal violence often accompanied with an emotional moment where he plays the mandolin to his deaf son. While Boardwalk Empire certainly had its flaws as a show, the mob-boss known as Scarface certainly was not one of them and, while the show has long ended, any more screen time for Graham’s portrayal of the character would be greatly appreciated by fans.
