10 TV Characters Who Would Make Great Batman Villains
5. Richard Castle (Castle)
Richard Castle may be cast firmly on the right side of the law, but as The Joker is eternally so keen to try and prove, all it takes is one bad day to turn a hero into a monster. Castle is highly knowledgeable on the subject of murder and is incredibly creative when it comes to concocting his own wildly implausible explanations for crimes.
One small push over the edge, and Richard Castle could be the finest and most inventive serial killer of his generation. His intimate knowledge of crime scenes and flair for the dramatic put him in perfect position to go on a crazed crime spree.
His smugness and passion for bizarre details could easily lead to him being a Riddler-esque villain, taunting Bats with clues and Easter eggs tucked away at the scenes of all his crimes. Batman often finds himself battling corrupt Gotham cops, so chasing down an enemy who's working from within the police force would be comfortable territory to spin a new narrative around.
Plus, any good Batman villain has to possess the right kind of charisma to play the foil to Batman's stoicism, and the self-proclaimed ruggedly handsome crime writer has charm in spades.
