A crucial characteristic of Batman's foes is that they have to be able to commit crimes of varying degrees of severity. One week they'll be robbing a museum of a novelty artefact, and the next they'll be conspiring to commit mass murder. Range is essential, and Lorna Morello fits this requirement perfectly, being equally willing to engage in credit card fraud as she is in domestic terrorism murder-suicide attempts.

Lorna handily bears more than a passing similarity to regular Batman antagonist Harley Quinn. She possesses the same delicate balance of endearing kookiness and genuinely worrying psychotic tendencies, a misguided romantic dedication towards a man that has no interest (a generous definition of obsessive stalking), and the irreplaceable Brooklyn accent.

Lorna is no stranger to being behind bars, which also helps her case given how frequently all of Batman's enemies find themselves in the slammer, even if only temporarily.

She's also shown to be an unstable and at times delusional individual, and it's been well established that there's nothing that Batman loves more than fighting the mentally ill.
