8. Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne- Revenge

The road to revenge has been a decidedly rocky one for Amanda Clarke. So far her efforts to repay the Graysons for murdering and framing her father for their involvement in terrorist activities have resulted in Nolan, her partner in crime losing his business, boyfriend and later girlfriend; her long lost sister discovering her ruthless, plutocratic father is actually her ruthless, plutocratic step-father and attempting suicide upon receiving the news of her mother's untimely (albeit staged) death- not to mention her former juvie cell-mate-turned-ally murdering a man to protect her secret, becoming a wanted fugitive, nearly losing her baby to a soap opera style fall from a ridiculously high balcony and eventually getting killed herself in a hostage situation gone wrong. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Suffice to say, Amanda has sacrificed the health and sanity of just about everyone she comes into contact with in her quest to right a twenty year wrong. Still, one could argue it's been a worthy one since she's cleared her father's name and ended the Graysons' long tyranny over the Hamptons right? Wrong. After all the plotting, scheming, lying, hacking, blackmailing, bombing, kung-fu and samurai sword fights the Graysons are still as rich and powerful as they ever were, constantly bribing and framing their way out of everything whilst Amanda leaves a trail of blood in her wake. Sure, she's claimed a few scalps in her two years but they were just mini-bosses existing solely to whet our appetite for the main event. In terms of getting the real revenge, Amanda is for all intents and purposes back to square one. We were all behind her mission in the beginning, but her plan has become so convoluted that she's simply lost the plot. Perhaps this is an opportune moment to spare a thought for the long suffering Jack Porter, the unwitting pawn in Amanda's 'revengenda'. Since she entered life he has married and fathered a child with a woman under false pretences, been beaten up, broken into, taken hostage, watched his yacht blow up and now has been left to raise his son alone after being forced to bury his newly wed wife and younger brother. As easy as it is to blame to Graysons for all of this, Amanda has been the catalyst to his all his problems, but still continues to dive head first into this debarcle instead of taking ownership of her failings. She has a lot of loose ends to tie up in season three. Maybe between all that and attending the copious charity benefits thrown at the Hamptons she might get around repairing the damage she's caused and finally giving the Victoria and Conrad what's coming to them, but let's not hold our breath
