7. Heffer Gets...Milked - Rocko's Modern Life

Like so many Nickelodeon cartoons of its era, Rocko's Modern Life was jam-packed with gags that'd fly far over a child's head, only to shock them years later when they decided to check out an episode or two for nostalgia's sake.

The infamous season one episode "The Good, The Bad, and the Wallaby's Milking Machine" sees Heffer and Rocko hanging out at a ranch owned by Rocko's uncle Gib Hootsen, prompting Heffer to revert to his, er, basest instincts.

While Heffer's sleeping, Gib connects him up to the cow-milking machine known as the Milk-O-Matic, prompting Heffer to wake up and clearly enjoy some not-so-family-friendly fun.

Given that Heffer's a steer and all, there's literally no way for him to be milked, but of course, kids would be forgiven for not appreciating that.

Hilariously, when Rocko and Heffer are abou to go home, Heffer heads back into the barn and says a melancholic goodbye to the Milk-O-Matic.

These scenes were ultimately cut from most American runs of the episode, but it aired internationally without incident and was included in tact on the series' home video release.

Reportedly the scene was originally supposed to have Heffer getting hearts in his eyes rather than stars as he was milked, but in order to soften the innuendo slightly, Nickelodeon insisted upon the change.
