When we first meet Simon, we're not totally convinced that he's not one of those socially awkward chaps who has a tendency to show up on the evening news for a triple homicide. He's cripplingly shy, has a history of instability, and does his share of creepy things (killing a probation worker and hiding her in a freezer for an indeterminate amount of time comes to mind). And as we get to know Simon, well...he's just this adorable little dork, isn't he? Packed full of obscure knowledge about science fiction and comic books that goes completely over the heads of his fellow young offenders. Throughout his time on the show, though, he trades one kind of dangerous for another. Once Superhoodie enters the picture, we realize that Simon has tremendous potential in the asskicking department. His newfound athleticism and skill at parkour, coupled with his steely determination to protect the few friends that he has, makes him seem slightly more threatening that the guy trying to burn down his high school bully's flat.
