10 TV Shows That Accidentally Filmed Things You Weren't Supposed To See

1. A Woman Throws Her Fake Baby Into The Air (The A-Team)

The A-Team The Beast from the Belly of a Boeing
NBC

While the original A-Team TV series isn't deadly serious, it's not exactly a slapstick comedy, either. As a result, this moment that was accidentally slipped into a season one episode stands out as being particularly bizarre.

In The Beast From The Belly Of A Boeing, The A-Team is called in to deal with a hijacked Boeing 747, and at the end of the episode, Hannibal is forced to execute an emergency landing. This results in the plane crashing through a huge airport window, and during this shot, a surprised extra at the bottom of the frame can be seen chucking her fake baby into the air while fleeing from the plane.

It's a moment of ridiculous comedy that doesn't fit with the episode - or the series as a whole - in the slightest. So how did it even happen?

Well, it turns out that this shot is actually stock footage from the classic 1980 comedy Airplane, a movie that is renowned for its over-the-top gags. The shot was simply recycled and carelessly inserted into The A-Team, creating a highly unintentional WTF moment in an otherwise straight-faced episode.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
