10 TV Shows That Deserved To Become Cult Hits (That Didn't)

1. Big Time In Hollywood, FL

Closing out with one more one-season wonder now, and with a project brought into being with a little help from some rather talented comedy legends, Ben Stiller sitting as just one of its executive producers. Big Time In Hollywood, FL once looked like it had all the potential in the world to become Comedy Central's next can't-miss slice of barmy gold.

Feeling like someone had thrown Breaking Bad and The Hangover into a blender and poured the end result into 10 absolutely surreal pieces of episodic programming, the increasingly insane and dangerous slapstick scenarios the deluded filmmaker Dolfe brothers find themselves at the centre of make for some of the most shocking and often enjoyably silly comedy of the 2010s.

Some quickly latched onto the madness unfolding before them, much of which involves big-name talents like Cuba Gooding Jr., Michael Madsen, and Ben Stiller frequently stealing the show with their presence throughout. But clearly not enough folks were interested in Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf's nutty baby, and the show was quietly killed off once Season One reached its end.

Far from going on to become a sleeper, cult hit of sorts in the eight years that would follow its quiet cancellation, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone that even remembers what once seemed primed to become yet another dark comedy small-screen sensation.
