The impact that I Am Not Okay With This had on the world felt like it literally came out of nowhere. Yes, fans of the comic book knew it was coming but even then it still feels like it exploded into our lives with little-to-no warning. And so many people were glad that it did.
Led by a potentially career-defining turn from It's Sophia Lillis, the dramedy follows 17-year-old high school student Sydney Novak who starts realising that she may posses telekinetic abilities. That premise was part of what earned it so much praise, because it managed to pull all of that off and still tell a coming-of-age story every bit as authentic as it is compelling.
Its sudden cancellation is only justifiable by the fact that it was reportedly only due to the state of the world right now, but not even that can truly justify the loss of this brilliant young adult series.
