Everything comes with a "use by" date: food, clothes, relationships, pets, Grandma... there's hardly anything on the planet (save for sweet, delicious honey) that lasts forever, and knowing when to say when is all part and parcel of the whole life experience. TV shows are no different: all TV shows reach a point whereupon they need to go away. And it's up to those big-shot television executives to decide whether or not said TV shows go out at the right time with some dignity, or awkwardly limp onwards until there's nothing left but a sense of dragging awkwardness and a bunch of super alienated "fans." Most successful TV shows fall into the latter category, of course; that's just how things go. That said, then, there are number of TV shows currently on the air that need to call it day in 2015 - either because they've exhausted their inherent premises and their characters and there's nowhere else for them to go, or because they're at the exact point where it would be possible for them to end without jumping the shark or undoing all the good they've done across the sum of their existence.
